Spenser began his career in Oakland California as a gaffer, working out of a rusting Ford Econoline van full of lights.  After receiving recognition in Kodak's In-Camera Magazine for his work behind the camera, Spenser transitioned to cinematography, pairing his deep understanding of light with intuitive lens work. Spenser has worked with notable brands, artists, and collaborators including Apple, PayPal, Ben & Jerry's, Jim Beam, Raley's, Kevin Durrant, Train, and Jon Batiste. The Keanu Reeves-produced feature 'Already Gone' starred Sean-William Scott.

A multidisciplinary artist, Spenser frequently contributes to projects as a scene designer, painting storyboards and mood images. Spenser has worked all over the World and operates locally out of New York and the San Francisco Bay Area.
